2012 - 2018 > The Black Suite

Tasmania, my sanctuary, if away and feeling melancholic for this place, I delight in recollecting a plethora of abstracted splinters of memory that bind me with my motherland.

The distinct voice of magpies welcoming a summer morning across the yard at the family shack in St Helens, the glimmering flash of my mother’s glomesh purse on a special occasion or perhaps the resident pair of wedge tail eagles hunting in the back paddock.

The catalogue of memories filter into visual dialogues, sharing the stories and as the song reminds us, memory will eternalise all that is precious beyond the physical realm.
