Vertigo
Vertigo
Charcoal on paper
approx 2 metres x 1.3 metres
2011

Vertigo was one of four drawings made during the residency at the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery, Launceston in 2011. I was based in an outbuilding curiously named 'Fenton's Stables', but was the old locker room and washroom for the Railway workers sports teams, back in the day when the Museum site was a railyard and foundry for building trains and trams. The round sink is a group washing station which is operated by the foot lever on the floor. The water streams from the head much like a fountain.
